MIG Welding Cells
Lewis Australia designs and builds complete MIG
welding cells including an operator station, a
welding robot and a customised rotary table to
ensure the transfer of sub assemblies between the
operator and robot is safe.
The production rate of an automotive sub-frame
member was increased by 100% by remounting existing
weld fixtures into a new rotary table type weld
cell.
The
standard Lewis rotary table and trunnions allowed a
fast, efficient up-grade to be performed within a
short shutdown window. |

The loading operator is protected from the welding robot by the
table wall and the table sides, which have been removed for clarity. |
