The vibratory conveyor system, shown below, is a
bulk material handling system that was designed and
built for Philip Morris. |

The challenge was to
continuously convey material and avoiding damage to
the product. |

An extensive technology search revealed that the
technology had already been perfected by an overseas
supplier. |

| |
To reduce development cost to the client, Lewis
approached the overseas owner of the technology and
obtained a license to manufacture and integrate the
vibratory technology into the Lewis system. |

The result is a system which transports the
product by the vibratory motion generated by an
electric motor. This method of bulk material
handling reduces damage to the raw and processed
product and minimises dust creation. |

The system was designed with
