Rotary Indexing Tables
 
The Lewis Australia Rotary Indexing Table is a precision unit designed for continuous heavy duty use with a robotic cell or as a stand alone unit with its own control unit.   
 
The unit (pictured at right) has applications in situations where the product is required to be rotated and presented in an accurate position for processing (welding, assembly, machining, pressing, heating, painting, etc.).
 
The rotary table has the following features:
 
  • Programmed for continuous rotation or indexing with almost any number of stopping positions.
  • Programmable for an infinite range of speeds, dwell times and accelerations for both forward and backward motion.
  • Precise and repeatable positioning for application with other automated systems. Crucial for product consistency and quality.
  • Smooth and fast operation complete with ramp up and down acceleration. Smooth motions ensure that the product does not move in transit.
  • High pay load. The unit can transport heavy products placed away from the centre of the table.
  • Low maintenance with centralised greasing location.

Table Top: 1.5 metre diameter flat steel top.
Table Operation: Fully programmable for indexing, continuous rotation and speed variation in any direction of movement.
 Load Capacity: Gross table load 500kg and maximum eccentricity of load is 1500kgm.
Rotational Speed: 180° index at maximum table load in 5 seconds
Index Accuracy: +/- 0.25mm at 750mm radius.
Table Drive: 2.2nm helical geared electric motor with dynamic braking driving a precision geared slewing ring.
Drive Control: Electronic speed variation with encoder and programmable acceleration deceleration.
Unit Control: Programmable Logic Control (PLC)

Table Drive: 90nm helical geared electric servo motor with dynamic braking driving a precision geared slewing ring.
