Pallet
Conveyer and Handling Systems
(Crankshaft and Camshaft System) |
| |
|
| |
The Lewis Australia
Crankshaft conveyor System (pictured during pre delivery testing) was
developed specifically for transporting easily damaged components which
must not contact each other as they queue during their manufacturing
process. |
| |
|
| |
A single installation typically requires over 100 metres of conveyor
and approximately 200 captive pallets for component carrying. |
| |
|
| |
The conveyors integrate with high-speed machine loading and handling
robots to create a fully automated production system. |
| |
|
| |
Lewis also has a similar product developed specifically for
inter-machine handling of camshafts. |
| |
|
| |
Lewis has overcome local and overseas competition by adopting a
simple but strong conveyor frame built from folded sheet steel
rather than more costly extruded aluminium sections. |
| |
|
| |
Noise of operation and wear are minimised by appropriate use of
engineering plastics purchased in ready to use standard sections or
specifically moulded to shape by cost effective techniques. |
