This equipment (pictured right) is specifically designed for retro-fitting to existing Gautschi ingot casters. It assures the highest possible bundle integrity from 22.5 kg aluminium ingot casters.   The potential for costly and dangerous ingot dislodgment and bundle failure during shipping and handling is kept to a minimum. The retrofit equipment includes: A bundle pre-settling press which easily retrofits to the conveyor between existing bundle, stacking and strapping operations. Each bundle is pressed to ensure no further settling (and loosening of straps) will occur during subsequent handling and transport. A bundle rotate unit which also retrofits to the existing strapping station to allow normal bundle strapping plus strapping at 90°. Hydraulic power pack and electrical controls.
